The United States is the only country in the world that sentences children to die in prison. Now, due to a pair of recent US Supreme Court decisions, a few of those given life sentences for crimes committed before they turned 18 might get a second chance. Those children given a mandatory sentence of life in prison have a chance to appeal and possibly spend some part of their adult life out from behind bars. As this process unfolds we watch lawyers, family, victims, courts and the incarcerated pursue their versions of justice in America.
